Where are you on
your journey?
Having trouble falling pregnant?
You’ve been trying, month after month, to conceive, and it just isn’t happening. The rule of thumb is that you need to actively try to conceive for at least a year before seeing a fertility specialist. In fact, most women suffer more from impatience than inability! I’m here to help you try to pinpoint the problem, to prepare the right treatment plan to create the optimal conditions for you to conceive, and, if necessary, to refer you to the right specialists. All while providing you with all the experience and information, and always, always, with lots of caring, a smile and support.
I’m here for you
Identifying fertility issues
Creating a new life is a meaningful event that involves numerous body systems.
From my experience with a great number of patients, at this stage it’s important to take a comprehensive look at all the variables that affect your ability to conceive: your age, weight, diet and sleep quality, your work/life balance, your physical and emotional condition, your lifestyle, your menstrual cycle and previous miscarriages if any. Of course, this is in addition to a medical diagnosis and investigating your fertility profile through tests for which you will be referred by a specialist (I work with some of best fertility specialists in Israel and other countries).
As a rule, fertility issues fall into two categories:
Fertility issues caused by a medical condition (a condition that has been investigated and confirmed by tests):
From irregular periods to ovulatory dysfunction, hormonal imbalance, thyroid conditions, underlying illness that has impaired fertility, thin endometrium, uterine scarring following earlier miscarriages, a uterus with a certain shape, and others. It’s important to reach a diagnosis, and, of course, one needs to take into account that “it takes two to tango”, meaning that if you have been trying unsuccessfully to fall pregnant for more than a year, your partner will also need to have a sperm count and morphology test.
Unexplained infertility (no medical cause has been found, and all possible medical contributory factors have been ruled out):
Here, the reasons are diverse and individual. However, the literature contains a great deal of information that points to the direct effects of tension and anxiety, emotional stress and mental state on the ability to conceive. Throughout my career I have witnessed a number of cases in which the couple, after trying for years, opted for adoption or surrogacy, and while waiting for the baby to arrive, discovered they were pregnant!

Acupuncture allows for the treatment of a variety of medical conditions that prevent women from conceiving, and also for the creation of hormonal, physiological and mental conditions that benefit conception.
Acupuncture enables us to rule out conditions such as “cold womb” (in this case, we will “warm it up”) or eliminate “damp-phlegm”.
We will also make sure to create the best conditions for you to get pregnant: since the nervous system and hormonal
system interact and affect each other, besides choosing the acupoints to balance the hormones and increase blood flow to the uterus and ovaries, I also choose acupoints that directly affect the nervous system, which are known to release “feel-good” brain chemicals such as endorphins
